The provisions under Section 6 of the Gas Act (Cap 116A) that stipulate that the activities of gas importation, gas conveyance and management/operation of gas onshore receiving facilities require a gas licence from the Authority were entered into force on 11 Jun 2007.
The remaining licensing provisions under Section 6 of the Gas Act (Cap 116A) have entered into force on 14 Feb 2008. The activities of gas shipping, gas retailing and town gas production shall also require a gas licence from the Authority.
