Application for Letter of No Objection (LNO)
The Government has formed an EMA-LTA Interim Joint Panel (IJP) to support the verification of Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE as defined in TR 25:2016) test reports and relevant documents, in compliance with EV charging standard TR 25:2016.
Manufacturers, distributors, or motor dealers providing fixed EVSE to consumers are required to submit an application for a Letter of No Objection (LNO). Do note that it is mandatory for the business entity to have a locally registered office. The application shall state the brand, model and power rating of the EVSE, with the relevant test report(s) and Certificate of Conformity of the EVSE attached for the IJP’s verification.
For technical details on the application requirements, refer to:
Please write in to email@example.com to submit your applications for LNO and any related enquiries. This email will also be used for subsequent correspondences with the IJP.
If the submitted test report is found to be in order, EMA will issue on behalf of the IJP a Letter of No Objection (LNO) to the applicant.
The IJP has also compiled a list of examples of non-compliance in LNO application submissions, for applicants to take note of.
