SIEW 2014 EXPLORES OPPORTUNITIES IN AN INCREASINGLY INTERDEPENDENT ENERGY LANDSCAPE

The theme for the Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) 2014 is "Building Energy Connections".

The theme reflects how global and regional integration of energy networks hold the potential to positively shape our energy future, now that economies and energy markets are becoming increasingly interconnected. Against this backdrop, SIEW 2014 will provide an unparalled opportunity for participants to explore solutions to our energy challenges in this increasingly interdependent energy world.

Now in its 7th year, SIEW has developed into the foremost platform for top policymakers, energy practitioners and commentators to discuss energy issues, strategies and solutions. SIEW 2013 was attended by global energy leaders from government, industry, and international organisations. They included Sheikh Khalid Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Chief Executive Officer of Qatargas; Energy Ministers from Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Australia's Queensland State, Vietnam and Japan; industry captains and thought leaders such as the ASEAN Secretary General; International Energy Agency's Chief Economist, the Director-General of the International Renewable Energy Agency, and senior executives from ConocoPhilips Asia Pacific, Accenture, Platts, Cheniere and Bloomberg.

SIEW brings together a robust line-up of the world's leading conferences, exhibitions, roundtables and networking events to provide insights and perspectives on the emerging trends and innovations across the energy spectrum of oil & gas, clean and renewable energy, technology and financing – in one week, one location.

SIEW 2014 will be held from 27-31 October at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
