New grant calls for Smart Grid and Gas Technology

Globally, the energy landscape is seeing emerging trends such as greater connection of intermittent renewable generation sources, like solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, to the grid. Locally, the liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal also presents new opportunities within the power and gas sectors.

In response to the challenges and opportunities presented by these new developments, EMA recently launched two grant calls for Smart Grid and Gas Technology.

The former focuses on improving our grid resilience, while the latter is on enhancing the operational readiness and resilience of our gas network and LNG infrastructure. The closing date for submission of proposals is 18 July 2014. More information can be found at
