EMA launched Stage One of a two-stage Request-for-Proposal (RFP) on 30 June. Parties interested to become the next LNG importers for Singapore’s post-3 Mtpa LNG supply, can send in their proposals to EMA. Submission closes 31 December.
Participants will be evaluated based on the competitiveness of the gas supply proposals and ability to provide a reliable and secure gas supply to Singapore. EMA will evaluate the proposals. Up to three parties will be shortlisted for Stage Two of the RFP.
The RFP process is expected to take 15 to 18 months, with up to two LNG importers eventually selected.
