Earlier this year, EMA partnered a delegation of power companies to participate in the annual NTU and NUS career fairs, under the “Powering Lives @ Career Fairs” banner. This marks the third year that the sector has coordinated its presence at the fairs, to interest students in a rewarding career with the Power sector.
Among the highlights was EMA’s interactive Information Kiosk. Touchscreen-savvy students gave the kiosk a resounding thumbs-up as they tapped and scrolled their way through information that included jobs and career opportunities in the sector. All the students had to do was indicate their interest and the job function of their choice. The kiosk would then recommend a job role, as well as the career path that follows.
Other than EMA, this year’s career fairs saw the participation of City Gas, Keppel Infrastructure Holdings, Sembcorp Industries, Singapore LNG Corporation, Singapore Power and Tuas Power Generation. About 18,000 students attended the career fairs.
