Natural Gas
Since
2001, Singapore has moved away from oil to natural gas. Today, natural gas –
which is the cleanest form of fossil fuel – accounts for about 95% of
Singapore’s energy generation.
Natural
gas will remain as the dominant fuel for Singapore in the near future as we
have few renewable energy options to depend on besides solar.
EMA
is thus focused on improving the efficiency and reliability of our natural gas
power plants.
