Grant Calls

EMA rolls out competitive grant calls to catalyse applied R&D of innovative energy technologies and solutions. The developed solutions are to address Singapore’s energy challenges and capture new economic opportunities in the growing clean energy sector.

Over the last ten years, EMA and its industry partners have jointly awarded over $200 million in grants, benefitting over 80 companies and 40 Institutes of Higher Learning and Research Institutes. This includes grant calls in the areas of renewable energy, energy storage, smart grids and energy efficiency.

EMA periodically launches grant calls to develop new solutions to meet Singapore’s energy needs and address industry-relevant challenges.

Funding amounts awarded will depend on the scope and the quality of proposals received.

There is no fixed number of projects awarded in each grant call, as projects are evaluated and awarded based on the quality and scope of the proposals.
