Feedback from the respondents, namely YTL PowerSeraya, Tuas Power Generation, Keppel Merlimau Cogen, Senoko Energy and PacificLight Power were received when the consultation closed on 25 September 2013. Appendices 1 and 2 set out the modification to the Transmission Code (taking into account the feedbacks), and EMA’s response to the feedback respectively.
EMA has carefully considered the feedback from the respondents and has decided to modify the Transmission Code as set out in Appendix 1 (taking into account the feedback). The proposed Code modification will come into effect on 14 November 2013.
The consultation has closed for comments.
The Transmission Code sets the minimum conditions that the Transmission Licensee must meet in carrying out its obligation to provide transmission services and to provide non-discriminatory access to the Transmission Licensee’s transmission system. The Transmission Code also describes the rights and obligations of the Transmission Licensee in respect of the provision of transmission services, together with the rights and obligations of the users of transmission services. The Transmission Code also sets out the technical requirements to be met by those connected or to be connected to the Transmission Licensee’s transmission system.
Pursuant to Section 1.6 of the Transmission Code, EMA proposes the modifications to the Transmission Code to ensure that spare parts for critical sub-systems or systems of a generation facility are readily available for timely replacement of any faulty parts of the generation facility so that the generation facility can be returned to service in the shortest possible time. EMA invites written representations on the proposed modifications to the Transmission Code as set out in Appendix 1.
