Carries out electricity and natural gas system studies and assesses the impact of new generating plants/imports/consumers’ connections on existing electricity and natural gas systems as well as the electricity and natural gas transmission licensees’ plans to expand the transmission networks.

Oversees the real-time operation of the natural gas transmission system to safeguard reliability and security of the gas system.
Monitors the natural gas system round the clock, which includes the gas transmission pipelines as well as gas facilities such as the Onshore Receiving Facility (ORF) and the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Terminal.
Collaborates with the System Control Department to implement integrated responses for handling electricity and gas system emergencies.
