EMA and Univers (formerly known as Envision Digital) signed a Memorandum of Agreement to forge a S$4 million partnership to develop the capabilities of local energy companies focusing on renewable energy, urban energy efficiency and low-carbon solutions

In July 2023, two local startups – Ampotech and EtaVolt – were awarded with grants to develop innovative solutions on maximising solar photovoltaic performance and efficient recycling of solar panels, as well as enabling more buildings to adopt air-conditioning optimisation technologies.

Other initiatives under the partnership include the Net Zero Startup Challenge which was launched in 2021. Shortlisted startups and small- and medium-enterprises would receive training and mentorship to develop their digital capabilities. They could also leverage Envision Digital's international customer portfolio to grow their business. In addition, the companies have had the opportunity to apply for post-programme R&D funding from EMA to develop their solutions.

Envision Digital has also tied up with Keppel Infrastructure to testbed innovative and digitally-enabled energy solutions under this programme exclusively at Keppel Infrastructure’s sites.
