However, the Committee acknowledged there would be challenges due to uncertainties like geopolitical trends and technological advancements. The report includes scenarios of possible pathways to net-zero emissions by 2050 and offers signposts indicating macro energy trends to guide decision-making. In the report, the Committee also recommended strategies to maximise the power sector's chances of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
